Emmanuel Lutheran Global Seminary Graduate to Serve as Vicar in Crystal River
Master of Divinity graduate Robert (Bob) Bonomo takes the next step in ministry at St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church.
Emmanuel Lutheran Global Seminary is proud to share that Robert (Bob) Bonomo, recent Master of Divinity graduate and the first Emmanuel Lutheran Global Seminary student to be approved for candidacy with the Florida-Bahamas Synod, will serve as Vicar at St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church in Crystal River, Florida.
Following the passing of Pastor Joan Holden, Bob is assisting the congregation through a time of transition and healing. His leadership reflects Emmanuel Lutheran Global Seminary’s mission: forming faithful, rooted leaders ready to serve local communities with the love and hope of Christ.
Bob’s story is a testament to how intentional theological education equips everyday believers to step into extraordinary moments of ministry. After years of lay leadership and diaconal service, he embraced the call to seminary through Emmanuel Lutheran Global Seminary’s flexible Master of Divinity program—designed for those already serving in their communities.
We celebrate this milestone and give thanks for the donors and supporters who made Bob’s journey possible.
